YOUR MISSION

• Support the chair of the Group for High Resolution Sea Surface Temperature (GHRSST) in planning and coordinating team meetings, events, and activities.
• Ensuring a consistent information flow among GHRSST Science Team members, while acting as the main interface with external global systems and partner projects.
• Maintain and update the GHRSST website, as well as all project-related documents — including the annual report, training plan, data specifications, and R/GTS System Architecture.
• Facilitate outreach and visibility by coordinating communication efforts and promoting collaboration across the global earth observation community.

YOUR EXPERIENCE & TALENTS

• Strong project management skills, demonstrated within international scientific or technical projects.
• Background in Earth Observation, Meteorology, or Oceanography – knowledge of satellite sea-surface temperature data would be an asset.
• Experience in organising international outreach, workshops, or capacity-building events.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with GitHub or GitLab would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of website maintenance and management of social media accounts.
• Excellent written and spoken English (C1 or higher).
• Willingness to relocate or commute frequently to Darmstadt.
