Interim Manufacturing Process Engineer

Join a long-term project with a global rail leader and optimize manufacturing processes that shape the future of rail vehicle production!

YOUR MISSION

  • Conduct engineering design reviews and ensure full adherence to industry requirements in the rail vehicle sector
  • Plan and optimize manufacturing and assembly processes, including tooling, jigs/fixtures, and ergonomic considerations
  • Define efficient workstations and production lines to maximize operational efficiency
  • Collaborate closely with design teams through Concurrent Engineering to ensure manufacturability
  • Create, review, and manage industrial manufacturing documentation, including MBOM breakdowns and change management
  • Develop and verify clear, concise work instructions using Excel (including Pivot tables and S-Verweise) and Visio
  • Provide detailed work plans and deliver comprehensive, on-site manufacturing support


    YOUR EXPERIENCE & TALENTS

  • Proven experience in assembly process optimization, including tooling/fixtures and concurrent engineering with design teams
  • Expert-level MS Excel skills (including Pivot tables and S-Verweise); confident use of Visio, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Office
  • Proficiency in Delmia, AOS, SAP/GSI, and Catia V5
  • Solid understanding of MBOM/EBOM breakdown, change management, and industrial manufacturing documentation
  • Technical education in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and structured problem-solving
  • High concentration span, resilience, and assertiveness in technical discussions
  • Clear, precise communicator in both German (min. C1) and English (min. B2+) – written and spoken
  • Willingness for consistent on-site presence
