Aviation & Space Knowledge Manager

YOUR MISSION
Be a central part in ensuring that knowledge, both strategic and operational, is effectively captured, transferred, shared, and retained across our clients, the European Space Agency, diverse programs and departments
- Knowledge Governance Coordination:
Develop and implement governance frameworks, standards, and policies for knowledge management across ESA’s international teams.
- Knowledge Transfer & Retention:
Facilitate structured handovers, onboarding materials, and expert knowledge capture initiatives to mitigate knowledge loss
- Knowledge Sharing & Learning Culture:
Plan and coordinate knowledge-sharing events, communities of practice, and internal conferences that foster collaboration and cross-functional learning
- Lessons Learned Integration:
Support ESA’s lessons learned processes to ensure that insights from missions and projects are effectively captured, validated, and reused in future initiatives
- KM Tools & Records Management:
Manage and evolve ESA’s KM platforms and repositories; ensure effective usage of digital tools and systems for storing and sharing institutional knowledge
- Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as a liaison between departments to understand their knowledge needs and support tailored KM initiatives
YOUR EXPERIENCE & TALENTS
- Experience in a knowledge management, information governance, or organizational learning role in an international organisation
- Proven ability to lead cross-organisational knowledge initiatives and governance structures
- Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with knowledge systems, tools, and frameworks (e.g. SharePoint, Confluence, KM methodologies)
- University degree in Knowledge Management, Information Science, Organisational Learning, Information and Documentation Management, Library and Information Sciences or a related field
- Familiarity with complex, international and technical environments - ideally aerospace, engineering, research organisations or multinational institutions
- Fluency in English is required; working knowledge of German, French, Spanish or Italian is an asset
